KANTHASAMY having a BIG opening next to Super Star movie. Opening in Six Screens. What u feel about it?

As per curtain raisers in TV and magazines it seems a Big movie like Dasavatharam and 6 screens at a time at Salem is great to get good collection even though the film got failed.

Let us wait and see. Members who watched movie can share about the quality and performance.

The thing is, there is not even a single movie worth watching recently (except may be one or two). So, all the theatres in city (and also restof TN) are running some crap movies (every day I can see some movie being released, with unknown actor/actresses, unknown director, unknown producer, unknown composer, and everyone being unknown). Thats one major reason why this is released in many screens.

The movie is certainly not with different storyline, same old wine. and a very slow screenplay.
It is more or like tried to be as a shankar movie.
100/100 for vikram acting. Technically a very RICH movie.

I just saw the movie in a theatre here.
It doesn't score a pass mark. Very poor story and screen play. Songs are very long, and make one bored. Even the song composition is not great.
The movie as a whole again is very loooong and runs for around 3 hours and 15 minutes.

Total disappointment!!!

Waiting for Aayirathil Oruvan!!

Well said Vijayan & Logesh. Seems to be "old wine in a new bottle". Not yet watched the movie but as far as I heard and read everybody is disappointed. For instance, yesterday I asked a neighbor how was the film. He replied in just one word "Theriyama poiten". There are lot of crap movies releases every week and only few creates hype. Kandasamy was one among but failed to meet the expectation. On speaking about the crap movies I just had another thought.... Unknown actors, Unknown directors and all unknowns are always welcome to the industry but going UNKNOWN even after their attempt is so sad.

Ok coming back... Kandasamy should have not come from a director of movies like Virumbukiren, five star and thiruttu payale. Shankar formula never worked for anyone other than SHANKAR.. Hope everybody remembers the failure of SAMAURAI from Balaji Sakthivel associate of Shakar.. He have had to prove himself in Kadhal and Kallori.

I am not gonna watch Kandasamy. Awaiting for Selva's Ayirathil Oruvan - ("Thaai thindra manne")

Yes everyone said it is failure one and I have not seen yet. I used to see one or two movies in theatres in a year. (during College days not missed any one movie and I am ardent fan of movies).

But as information received and as per press report the good movies now running are : Pokkisham (only boring portion in the movie is is letter reading all the way-except it is a classic movie). Among the low budget 'Madurai Sambavam' scored well. Also Malai-Malai is an above average film.

Some other expections other than Aayirathil Oruvan are (1) Jakkuboi (Sarath-KS Ravikumar) (2) Aadhavan (Surya-KS Ravikumar)

Salem Managaril onpathu theater Kanthasamy got released?



This some thing equal to Shivaji, I remember it got released in 9 theaters in the city and next was Dasavatharam it got released in 6 or 7.
