Diwali `09 Releases in Salem

Hi friends,

As per Producers council directions, there will be only 3 movie releases per week.
Hence for this Diwali, we get 3 movies,
Aadhavan
Peraanmai and
Jagan Mohini.

Surya starrer Aadhavan has only opened in 3 screens in Salem,
ARRS, geethalaya and big cinemas KS.

Interestingly Jayan ravi starrer Peraanmai has opened in 5 screens(more screens than much expected surya movie),
ARRS Multiplex
SriRajaSabari
BIG Cinema Kailash
BIG Cinema Prakash
BIG Cinema Keerthana

Jagan mohini in
ARRS and MS Rajeswari.

Apart from this, Salem gets two hindi movies,
Blue and All The Best on Sangeeth and BIG Cinema Ramana Respectively.

Hi Loggy, Good piece of information. Thanks for sharing with us. Just heard "Adhavan" seems to be good. Not sure. Any comments on these new releases, friends?

Loggy, I strongly believe that Aadhavan will be screened in more than one screens of ARRS depending on the crowd. It will be on at least 2 screens.

^ You are right vijayan.
Aadhvan is released in 2,3 and 5th screens of ARRS. Total Screens of Aadhavan shows in Salem is 5 screens.
So actually, Peraanmai and Aadhavan are released in equal number of screens in Salem.

I saw Aadhavan & Paeraanmai on Deepavali & next day night shows with my full family. (Normally for all Deepavali all our family members (around 10) used to see movies).

Aadhavan - Regular Surya Movie and nothing special. Many said it is just like 'Ayan'. It is like Ayan but the difference is more comedy and family drama. Vadivelu comedy is v.good. Songs are not so good and sometimes it spoils the story movement.

Paeraanmai - Very good movie. Different story line. English story in Tamil. No heroine, no duet. Good acting of Ravi and 5 girls. Patriot movie. Excellent cinemotography. Superb location. Worth to see.

^I will go with Kannan Sir.. i have the same opinion.

AADHAVAN- Pakka masala movie. Too much blade in second half.
Me and Praveen found, their is no proper advance booking in BIG Cinemas KS. But anyways we managed to get the ticket for this movie. Pretty decent crowd for a Wednesday night show.

PERAANMAI- Intersting movie, with a completely new story line. I feel the Screenplay is bit slow.

Adhavan: No story nothing. Could say Ayan part 2. But not as good as Ayan(did not like Ayan itself).
Without Vadivelu, Adhavan is nothing. Just walk out after the interval unless you want to test your patience. It is strongly recommended to leave the theater at least before the arrival of Producer and Director in climax. :lol:

I completely agree with the comments about Aadhavan. Vadivelu is the only character worth mentioning. Unnecessary hype created by the media for this movie, as the movie is produced by the media.
Yet to see Peraanmai.

Just today I watched "Peraanmai". Lots of sensor cuts on first half ruined the flow of the screenplay. Ravi has done a good job. I think there should have been no songs and Villains are not utilized properly. Screen play must have been tweaked little and kept it faster for more thrilled experience.. But overall itz an excellent attempt for a hollywood like film in Tamil. (Farmost better that Adhavan which released together :idea:

)

Yes Aadhavan is not a great movie... Surya movies are turning like Vijay's masala movie?
