After completing the long and busy schedule of ‘Raavanan’, Vikram has switch on to his new project ‘Vedi’ directed by Boopathy Pandian. After completing 2 days shooting, it was stopped due to some location problems. Film sources say that again it will start its shoot on July 14th in Trichy.

According to close sources, the story of ‘Vedi’ will begin in Trichy and then travels to Salem and ends in Madurai with a climax. According to the script, the shooting schedules will also move from Trichy to Madurai via Selam.

The romantic sequences between the heroine Ileana and Vikram will be picturized in Trichy and Selam. She has given the call sheet for Vedi from July 20 and will be in Chennai on 18th.

You are right Logesh. Madarasapattinam team started the promotional tour yesterday to visit theaters in Coimbatore, Salem, Madurai, Trichy and Tanjavur.

The successfully running film ‘Madrasapattinam’ is aiming for more. The period film which is already a hit for its recreation of colonial Madras in all is all set to take a promotional tour across Tamil Nadu.

Accordingly the ‘Madrasapattinam’ team comprising director Vijay, Arya, Amy Jackson, Udhayanidhi and Aghoram will visit theaters in Coimbatore, Salem, Madurai, Trichy and Tanjavur to acknowledge and thank the grand reception the film has got from all over. The tour started yesterday.

A point to be noted here is Amy Jackson has flown in all the way from London for the post release promotions of her film.

In today's(28/07/2010) Daily thanthi i saw the Advt for the cassete release for the movie "Gauravargal" as something like below,

This movie shooting has been taken in Salem and Sathyaraj is acting as a hero in this movie.

was the shooting over? in which places the shooting happened.

No idea where the shooting and all happened in Salem Logesh.

I just read somewhere in net that this movie shooting was happened in Salem.

Movie titled PAARI shooting is currently going on in Salem. All are new faces, including the crew. Hero name is Rahul. Its a low Budget Film.
They have shooted in location’s like, Dadagapatti uzhavar santhai, Periyar Colony and Oothumalai. The whole story seems to be set in Salem and they have planned to shoot in more locations of Salem.

It seems that Gowravargal (Sathyaraj in a leading role, shooted in Salem) movie has been produced jointly by ten theatre owners from Salem district.


The music of Gowravargal, starring Sathyaraj and Vignesh in the lead, was launched in Chennai recently. The film is directed by Sanjay Ram and produced jointly by ten theatre owners from Salem district.
