My List as follows,
Hotel Vivekananda - Gugai & Opp.to Central Bus Stand near Joyalukkas Jewelery.
Hotel Selvam - Near Gugai Girls Hig.Sec School.
Hotel Selvam - Yercaud, Opp.to Shervoroys Resorts.
Hotel Parasakthi - Central Road near GH.
Hotel Mangalam - Opp.to Shanti Theater
Hotel Rajendra - Gugai (very next to old Appasara Theatre compound).
Hotel Rajaganapathi - Opp.to Central Bus Stand.

The above mentioned hotels are purely Non-Vegetarian. They famous and specialized for their traditional preparation such as, Biriyani variates, Paroota, Chicken Roast, Chicken Varuval, Chicken/Mutton shukka, Kaddai Fry/Roast.
And Chicken-65 is very tasty in Hotel Vivekananda - Opp.to Central Bus Stand.

Some famous Kaiyendhi Bhawans,
Balaji fast food - Veg, Opp.to Shanti Theater.
Gandhi Hotel - Non.Veg, near Longly road, Shevapet.

PARASAKTHI and MANGALAM are my FAV's.. i love their food items from my vhilhood..
guys try these two hotels.. they are uniquely famous for their chicken gravy and other fry items..

My Another favorite..
Hotel Vaari (Non Veg) on the way to Shevapet from Fatima School (Opp road).
The most spicy food that I ever had.. Their parotta, gravy and NV items are famous.. But so spicy...

Chinna chinna asai ( new bus stand) - > Milaku pongal, Adai aviyal
Manoj Mess Kaiyenthi bahavan ( 4 Roads) --> chapathi, Parotta

Manjo mess place is near to Reliance service center(Ramakrishna park road).

Any Parota shop is best in Salem.

I will vote for these three cities have cheap, quality food i.e Salem, Madurai and Trichy.

Selvi mess is my friends favorite restaurant.

Hotel Ajmeer near Oriental Sakthi theater is famous for Briyani & Parotta.

My fav. Hotel is Maruthi Balcony im chamundi complex and Barbi Queen in 5Roads. kaiyenthi Bhavan is my all time fav.
