Couple of days ago, Axis bank has been moved to a new location and all their land-line numbers got changed. Since all time I do online banking, just last week I got a chance to visit the new office and wanted to share about that here. It is just located on a newly constructed building near to the 4 roads church; opposite to the Airtel outlet. Really the internal decoration of the bank was amazing and was more spacious than the old one. One of the staff told that now Axis Bank is the most spacious bank in Salem. That is agreeable to me. Also personally I think they are fastest growing private bank in Salem holding largest customer base(next or = ICICI I guess). Any comments on it?

Praveen, you are absolutely correct. Currently Axis bank is the leading and best service provider amongst all the bank in the salem city. They give good response to the customers and deal with good manner. Also the new office is decorated well. I agree with your comments.

Still Town and Shevapet hold the major banks, branches and money transaction in the city. 4 roads-5roads stretch yet to catch old and primer business area of Town and Shevapet in terms of banking and money transaction.

Now Catholic Syrian bank, Axis Bank, ICICI Bank, Karur Vysya bank-Alagapuram branch are the 4 prime ones on the arterial Omalur road. Yes Bank and SBI Suramangalam branch are the prime one on Junction road.

But still the Fort main road holds all other major banks. Hope Salem's banking potential grows further on bye-pass roads.
